For issuers

Your register, answered without an email.

If your Registrar and Transfer Agent runs Registry, your own people answer your own questions. The RTA stops being a bottleneck for routine reporting, and you stop finding out about things late.

What changes

The same register. A different distance from it.

Email the RTA and wait for a shareholding pattern before every board meeting.

Pull the pattern, distribution and top holders yourself, at any date the register can support.

Ask how many transfers are pending, and get a number nobody can source.

See open and closed requests on your register with TAT performance against the statutory norm.

Find out about a complaint when SEBI asks about it.

See grievances against your register and their state, as they happen.

Approve a dividend file on the strength of a covering email.

Review the payout before release with the hold summary visible — who is held, why, and for how much.

Chase a record-date position and hope it arrives in time.

Raise a special BENPOS request and watch its progress against the deadline it serves.

Issuer portal

Scoped to your own ISINs. Nothing else, ever.

One RTA services many issuers on one node. The boundary between you and the issuer next to you is enforced in the database with row-level security, not by a filter in an application someone could forget to apply.

Register dashboard scoped to the issuer’s own ISINs only

Shareholding pattern, distribution and top holders, downloadable

Payout approval with the hold summary visible before release

Corporate action initiation, subject to RTA verification

Certificates and evidence packs filed on your behalf

Register snapshot for the voting agency and scrutiniser at cut-off

Why it matters

A register that does not balance is your problem before it is anyone else’s.

Issued capital has to equal physical plus NSDL plus CDSL plus suspense. Registry computes that from its components on a schedule and on demand, stores the result immutably, and turns every non-zero variance into a break with an owner and an age.

The quarterly Reg. 76 reconciliation of share capital audit cannot be certified while a break is open. That is a constraint in the software, not a habit of the desk — which means the certificate your company secretary signs is backed by a run you can inspect.

When nine months of real position files from one live issuer were parsed end to end, two weekly transitions showed a net change in demat holding that the incumbent register could not explain — one of 1,28,16,000 shares. The files were fine. The explanation was missing. That finding is on the About page.

How to get it

Ask your RTA whether they run Registry.

rgs.plus licenses Registry to SEBI-registered Registrars and Transfer Agents. We are not a registered RTA, so we cannot keep your register ourselves — the fastest route is your existing RTA. If it would help, we will talk to them with you.
